Abstract

This article presents three nautical magazines for juvenile readers that were published in the late 1940s and early 1950s. Theye were Młodzież Morska [Marine Youth] (1945-1948), Żeglarz [The Sailor] (1946-1948) and Młody Żeglarz [The Young Sailor] (1949-1951). Their fortunes were closely intertwined. So in 1949 Żeglarz was merged with Młodzież Morska and renamed Młody Żeglarz. In 1952 the latter was incorporated into the more inclusive monthly Morze [The Sea]
