Abstract

Oborniki Śląskie, a small town near Wrocław, is the home of a historical learned periodical Zeszyty Obornik Śląskich[The Oborniki Śląskie Journal]. This article examines this unique publication under the following heads: 1/ The periodical’s origins; its authors, editors and collaborators; 2/ Zeszyty Obornik Śląskich and the local press; 3/ Zeszyty Obornik Śląskich and the scholarly periodicals in the field of history; 4/ its content; 5/ its readers and its functions; 6/ its layout design.
