My path to press studies

Abstract

This is a autobiographical essay by Sylwester Dziki, for a long time a staff member of the Press Research Center in Cracow. Here the acclaimed Polish press researcher, documentalist and historian of the press presents his academic career as well as his principal interests and fields of study. The list of his publications totals 488 items, not counting his journalism columns. It includes 108 articles, 101 full-length studies, 20 bibliographies, 18 biographical essays, 6 day-by-day biographical records and 3235 reviews.
